Getting to Korea

In general, the institute pays for your flight over and flight back at the end of your contract. However, you do need to purchase the ticket yourself and you will be reimbursed within ten days after your arrival. In an effort to keep these costs down, we ask that as soon as you are given a date of hire to purchase a ticket as soon as possible. Tickets can be purchased on line at the following sites:

Expedia
Travelocity
Yahoo Travel

The airport you will by flying into is called Inchon international, so use this as you destination airport, or simply type in Seoul Korea as the destination.

Upon your arrival Inchon, you will need to take a bus to get to Iksan. Simply walk up to the information counter at the airport after retrieving your luggage and ask where you can catch a bus to Iksan. Most attendants will speak enough English that you should not have a problem doing this. When you get on the bus, the word Iksan should be written somewhere on the side of the bus. You need to get off at the Iksan interchange. This is the first stop (after a stop at a highway rest stop, so really the second time the bus stops) that is made after leaving the Seoul area after you stop at Kimpo airport in Seoul.

If you have any problems, you can call me. I will give you the phone number when you have applied and accepted the job. We won't leave you stranded.
